What is the minimum age required to open an account?
The minimum age required to open a trading account is 18 years old. The company does not accept applications from under aged clients.
How do I open an account with Empire FX?
Opening an account with us is easy peasy! Just follow these steps:
- Visit https://empirefx.com and click “Open an Account.”
- Choose “Create an Account” or “Sign up with Google” for a faster option.
- Follow the steps in the Client Portal to complete your application and upload the required documents.
- Submit your application, and we’ll review and verify your account within few minutes.
What are the account opening application steps?
Step 1: Personal Details: Begin by providing your basic personal information and address.
Step 2: Employment Details: Share your current employment information.
Step 3: Financial and Trading Background: Provide a brief overview of your financial background and trading experience.
Step 4: Upload Documents: Complete the process by uploading the necessary identification documents.
Which documents do I need to provide to become a client?

Provide a clear, colored copy of your passport or national ID (front and back) with all corners visible. Accepted formats: PDF, JPEG, or PNG.

Why do I need to submit documents to verify my account?
The Know Your Client (KYC) process is a regulatory obligation where we conduct due diligence to verify the client’s identity. This is done to protect both the client and the company against financial crimes, such as money laundering, identity theft, and terrorism financing.
How do I re-upload my verification documents?
Missed the final step during account opening? No problem! Here’s how to upload your documents:
Log in to your Empirefx Client area via https://my.empirefx.com/kyc
Navigate to the Verify Identity section.
You’ll be redirected to Step 4 to attach your documents.
Attach your Documets as guided and click Finish

How long does it take for my account to be verified?
Your account is usually verified in just 5 minutes. If further information is needed, verification will be completed within 24 hours of receipt.
Can I start trading before my account verification?
No, in order to be able to deposit and start trading, you should first fully verify your account.
Can I make multiple registrations?
Just so you know, you are only allowed to have one registered account.
Do you require more documents after my account is verified?
Don’t worry, we’ve got your back! When your documents expire, we’ll send you a friendly email reminder and a notification to upload the latest version
Sometimes, we may ask for extra documentation just to ensure everything checks out.
Can I update the personal information associated with my account?
For Unverified Accounts: On your https://my.empirefx.com, you can easily update details like Name, Last Name, Address, City, Postal Code, Country, Date of Birth, and Phone Number. Just hit the Update button, and boom! you’re done!
For Verified Accounts: On your https://my.empirefx.com , you can update to your Password or Email. Need to change Names or Date of Birth? No worries, just email our support team at [email protected], and we’ll take care of it.
How will I know that my account has been verified?
Once your account is verified, you’ll receive an email notifying you that your account has been approved.
What is a Tax Identification Number (TIN)?
A tax or taxpayer identification number (TIN) is a unique identifier used for tax reporting purposes.
Empire FX needs your TIN in order to comply with CRS regulations.
TINs can usually be found on various types of documents depending on their issuing country.
